Editor's Notes

Many of you have written to tell me you are praying for me and Emily and I want you to know we greatly appreciate it. At this writing Emily is in the hospital so we are especially grateful for your prayers. It's moving day for us. We are moving to a facility where meals are provided--just one of the many changes that occur with old age. We are thankful to the Lord for His abundant mercies to sustain us through the years and praise His wonderful name!

Sometimes God's people go through life not living up to how rich God has made them in Christ. Part of the wealth God has entrusted to us are His “exceeding great and precious promises” (2 Peter 1:4). This issue contains 3 articles highlighting 3 different promises of God to His beloved people. Let me encourage you to not only read of these promises, but to savor and meditate on them. God's promises are sources of great joy, strength and consolation.
