"Seek the LORD, and ye shall live..." (Amos 5:6).

The call to "seek the Lord" is repeated at least 27 times in Bible, stretching from the Old Testament to the New. Now, if purpose of religion -- as many say today -- is merely personal fulfillment, then Israel in Amos' day, and we in ours, are doing just fine; but if the purpose of true religion is to draw nigh to the one true God on his own terms, as the Bible declares, then how do we fare?
