Thanksgiving Day is Over–Now What?

No doubt many of you are tired after busy days of planning, entertaining guests, and preparing food. And there is nothing wrong with taking a rest. Jesus called His disciples apart for rest when they were weary.

But although the Thanksgiving season is over; the giving of thanks is not; it is eternal. “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad" (Psalm 34:1-2).

The  Psalmist declares he will bless the Lord at all times—not just during a special season; and notice his boasting is in the Lord, not in just what he gives, we should desire more of Him; not just the blessings He gives.                                        

So now that Thanksgiving day is behind us—Now what? Now and for all the future days before us; we will continue to give thanks to the Lord, magnify His name and exalt His name together.
