Thankful on this day

Today I am thankful to God for the children he has blessed us with, and that we are all (five of us now!) back from Vietnam, snuggled comfortably in our own home. Edmond, Ransom, and Avery are all doing well; and our testimony is that this precious benediction from a dear friend came true for us throughout the past two weeks:

MAI hope is that you have A...VERY good trip as you RANSOM these children from orphan status ... and that God would overREUEL in all things for your good.

Today I am thankful for God's overruling, all-sufficient grace for the past two weeks -- and always, for all his people. And I am most thankful, not only that God has given us two new babies named Ransom Reuel and Avery Mai, but that two thousand years ago unto us a child was born, unto us a son was given... and his name is Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
