Disconnect to reconnect

I recently came across an internet post on Phil Cooke’s blog . He writes:

The culture in which we live is changing. The family as God designed it is under attack. Parents are often distracted and fail to spend adequate time with their children. Yet God’s Word declares that parents are to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Teaching children the fear of the Lord, training them, disciplining them is an obligation which cannot be delegated. Maybe it is time for you to disconnect, not just from some of your electronic devices but from other interests and activities which keep you from giving your children the instruction, guidance and encouragement they need and by which you can obey and honor God.
