Baptist Witness Transition

One of the extensions of the long-standing ministry of the Baptist Bible Hour has been our print publication The Baptist Witness. For many years, the BW has offered Bible-based content on the printed page. This ministry has proved a great blessing across the years, and many have eagerly anticipated receiving this paper in the mail on a regular basis. As Solomon says, “To every thing there is a time and a season.” A new season has arrived for this part of the ministry.

Few realize how much time-intensive labor goes into making it possible for the BW to arrive in the many mailboxes. It is more than just putting address labels on hundreds of copies; there are sometimes frustrating postal service regulations to keep up with and other tasks behind the scenes. The limited office staff of the Baptist Bible Hour is simply unable to continue to provide this service. We know that this news will be met with disappointment by some, but we do believe this is the prudent course of action to take at this time.

We will plan to skip the scheduled November-December edition of The Baptist Witness, and put out one more paper edition of the publication sometime in January or February to coincide with the Anniversary Month of the Baptist Bible Hour. But, that is not all the news!

Lord willing, we hope to present an updated version of baptistbiblehour.org in the near future, and will plan to continue to publish online editions of The Baptist Witness. So, you should still be able to access edifying, Christ-centered articles through the convenience of the internet. Not only will you be able to read the newly posted articles, you will also be able to browse through previously posted articles in the archives. When the updated website is complete, you should also have access to archived sermons by Lasserre Bradley, Jr.

Some of you have pre-paid subscriptions to The Baptist Witness that extend beyond February. If you would like a refund of the remaining portion of your subscription, you may request it in writing. If you would be willing to consider what you may be due as a donation to the ministry, we would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for your support of the ministry of God's word through the Baptist Bible Hour. And, thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these changes. We would appreciate your prayers for the Lord to use and bless this ministry in the days ahead, according to His wise and gracious will. “Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart” (Psalm 119:111).
