The Sovereignty of God

When we say God is sovereign, we are simply saying “God is who God says he is, in his Word the Bible.” God is the only all-powerful, all-seeing, all-directing ruler of everything and everyone.The Bible teaches God controls the weather and nature, human rulers, all of humanity, animals, and even the spiritual world. No one has any power unless God grants it to them for a season; God rules completely and supremely.In this message, then, we want to consider -- not only what God's sovereignty means, but why it matters, what it does not mean, and what it should mean to us.
