Sincere & Pure Devotion to Christ

Paul's great concern for Christian believers is that they might, Eden-like, be led away from a single-minded devotion to Christ. He uses the language of lovers, of marital engagement, in order to express the sincerity and faithfulness he desires for Christians to maintain.So... how many thought-life lovers do you have? Any thing -- by "any means" Paul says -- that draws your attention or affection away from Christ is the enemy of your soul; it will undermine your relationship with your Beloved. It is our delightful duty to delight in Jesus Christ as our soon-coming bridegroom, and so we must have eyes and hearts and bodies only for him.
