Shall We Look For Another?

Even great Bible heroes like John the Baptist had moments of discouragement or fear. John had seen the Holy Spirit like a dove, heard the Father speak, and held Jesus in his arms as he baptized him. But no single experience of grace or faith will see us through life. We need to be continually reminded of the goodness and greatness of our God, and of the complete salvation that is found through Jesus Christ.Thankfully, God is faithful -- as Jesus was with John -- to lovingly and firmly point us back to himself when we wrestle with doubts. We have no need to look for another Savior, because Jesus is everything we need. As Jesus himself reminds John, "Blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”
