Prayer As An Unburdening of the Soul

Our goal with this message, and with this series on prayer, is that we will be praying more: spending more time in prayer, and taking more things to God in prayer.Or, as in the words of Jesus here, that we will actually, personally, constantly be coming to Jesus – not just talking about coming to Jesus, not just studying how to come to Jesus, not just affirming that it is a good thing to come to Jesus… but coming to Jesus in prayer with our heavy burdens and our weary hearts and our needy lives.The Bible gives us many different descriptions of prayer, and today we consider together: “Prayer as an unburdening of the soul."
