Prayer As Dinner With a Friend

We sometimes think of prayer as being like a job interview. We have to have all the right words, we need to represent ourselves well, we need to have our whole agenda ready before we sit across the interview desk from God.But here in Revelation 3:20, even in addressing people who are cold-hearted or backslidden, Jesus strikingly describes interaction with Him – not as a job interview, but as a dinner conversation with a friend.
