Jacob Blesses Joseph's Sons

In Genesis 48, God is making promises that will later come to pass just as He said.These promises are in the future even for Moses, as he writes Genesis to remind Israelites in his own day of God’s covenant with them. Yet as we continue to read through the Bible, we see that the promises Moses records do eventually come to pass.Genesis 48 ought then to be a great encouragement to us as we read and think about it even today! Because God has made promises to us as well, as his New Covenant people, and we can be certain they will come to pass.Why can we be certain? Because, although surprises are common to us, as finite humans, surprises are unknown to God! He declares the end from the beginning.
