I Will Slay the Last of Them

These final of five judgment visions of the prophet Amos are universal, inescapable, and colossal. And they are but a foreshadowing of God's eternal judgment.

There is no emergency exit from God’s presence. Where do you run when the eternal, invisible, supernatural God is hunting you? There is nowhere to go, but to Him.

And so in these warnings we are reminded that God will use anything, and go anywhere, to exact judgment on the wicked. But God will also use anything and go anywhere to reach, chasten, and draw His children to Christ for salvation!
