Hallowed Be Your Name

Our first, greatest, all-encompassing prayer is that God will make himself greatly known, greatly exalted, greatly appreciated, and greatly desired -- in us personally, and everywhere else. When we pray this, we are praying what God wants to hear! The significance of that should renovate our prayer life from the ground up.How might we sum up this request? God is both Father (immanent), and God is in heaven (transcendent). Therefore we ought to pray to him, because he cares; and we must worship him, because he is God. Remember that God is our Father, and that our Father is God.How can we put this into practice? Pray. And make every request in harmony with this one: “Our father, in heaven, make your name holy, glorious, wonderful!”
