Grow. (a command to spiritual enlargement) pt 1
"Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). Growth in grace – being formed more and more into the likeness of Christ – is not automatic, it is not optional, and it is not easy. Peter’s exhortation to "grow in grace" is a command to spiritual enlargement. Knowing, then, that spiritual growth – unlike with physical stature – is not something we are simply to wait on or expect for God to do for us, we must dedicate ourselves to the consistent, determined, sometimes-laborious effort to grow. It is in this way our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is glorified in us, “both now and forever.” Join Justin Huffman in this two-part study of the sufficient means God has given us in order to fully and joyfully obey this clear command.
