At Ease In Zion

Before physical desolation ever came to Israel, there was a spiritual desolation and starvation that had taken root and brought about this fruit. The same is true in every person's life, if we seek solace or refuge in anything or anyone other than Christ. People that are "at ease" in their spiritual coldness are in great danger.

What is the solution to this terrible predicament? Get grieved! Get humble! Get busy! But most of all, get alone with Christ in confession and communion.

God hates our fortresses because they are not Christ; he knows they will not hold, and so he urges us to seek refuge in the one and only Savior.
