The theme for our anniversary month this year is Grace For Daily Living.
Since our needs are daily needs, we are to be praying and looking to the Lord on a daily basis. In fact, Christian living is not just an experience at church on Sunday but a daily walk with the Lord. In describing a godly man the psalmist writes that “his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night” (1:2).
God’s Word is to be a part of our life every day of the week—and the result of reading it, studying it, and meditating on it is spiritual prosperity: “and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” (3).
It is so easy to let the many distractions of life pull us away from being in the Word every day.
Our prayer is that as you read these devotions you will be strengthened in your daily walk with the Lord and grow in your love for Jesus Christ.
We would like to send you the booklet A Good Thing: Daily Devotions — a hand-picked collection of 31 of our popular daily devotions, to use in jump-starting your own devotions or to share with a friend — to all who write us during our anniversary month (offer lasts through March 3rd).
