When Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed hit theaters in 2008, it was already the center of tremendous controversy. While Christian organizations like Ligonier and Answers in Genesis gave it rave reviews as a product of free speech and careful inquiry, many media outlets had only scathing words for it because of the fact that it questions the invincibility of Darwinism.

With the talented Ben Stein as narrator, the film interviews well-known scientists from both sides of the Darwinism/Intelligent Design discussion including a very revealing sit-down with Richard Dawkins.

Expelled is a thought-provoking, sometimes-disturbing, unblinking look at the censorship and prejudice that unquestionably exists in the pretended battle of science vs. intelligent design — and it shows that these two fabled enemies are actually friends that need not be reconciled in the end, nor deserve the vehement war that has been waged to “protect” one from the other.
