Father’s Day Resources

“One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters”

– George Herbert

It is appropriate that we set aside days to honor the special roles that fathers and mothers play in society, in family, in us personally. This Father’s Day, make a resolution to be the God-honoring, direction-providing, servant-leader that God calls you to be in your home — or to support and help the man of your house in his efforts to this end.

To encourage and equip you, we have compiled a list of online resources addressed to fathers, as well a recommended gift list for the fathers you know (including a new online release of A Godly Father by Lasserre Bradley, Jr!).

When you order any of these resources, we will also send you free of charge a copy of The Christian Home Study Guide, an excellent resource for family devotions or personal study.

Resources for you fathers:

  • I’m Watching You, Dad! - Dads, your children are watching your every move and word and decision. This blog post from Justin Huffman includes a video (guaranteed to bring tears to even the manliest man!) reminding you of how important you are in the life of your kids.
  • Life Comes At You Fast - A funny Nationwide Insurance commercial provides an opportunity for Justin Huffman to blog some life lessons. Fathers, your kids will be grown up in the blink of an eye!
  • Thou Shalt Teach Them - We must recognize that the world wants our children. This article by Lasserre Bradley, Jr. reminds you, as a parent, that the responsibility to discipline, protect, and teach cannot be delegated.
  • Lost In the Middle - Lasserre Bradley, Jr. reviews Paul David Tripp’s new book and its message that “Your pain is an instrument of his love. Your disappointment is a tool of his grace.”
  • Marriage and Family - A vital part of being a good father is being a good husband. This recent daily devotional encourages you, as a husband, to get to know your wife.
  • Two Men, Two Ways (Part 1) - A convicting contrast between the godly and the ungodly is seen as Lasserre Bradley, Jr. unpacks Psalm 1.
  • Two Men, Two Ways (Part 2) - A convicting contrast between the godly and the ungodly is seen as Lasserre Bradley, Jr. unpacks Psalm 1.
