A Worldview Weekend with BBH

Join us for this special listener event and learn how to understand your own faith better, share it more effectively, and defend it more convincingly!

What is a worldview?

A “worldview” describes the paradigms and priorities that shape the way we think about and interact with our surroundings — it is, in other words, the way we view the world around us, including ourselves. Everyone has a worldview, whether it is purposeful and conscious or not; everyone makes their decisions according to some set of criteria and sense of importance.

The crucial question for Christians, though, is this: what is your worldview and is it shaped by the Bible, or not? Whether you are answering the question “Is there a God?” or making decisions about your monthly budget, your worldview will determine what motivates your answers.

What is A Worldview Weekend with BBH?

The Baptist Bible Hour is hosting a weekend of worship and instruction regarding the Christian worldview and how a right view of the world will impact daily life. Our host Lasserre Bradley, Jr. will be joined by Jeff Baldwin from the Worldview Academy, a leader in Christian worldview education.

Jeff is the research director for, and one of the founders of, Worldview Academy and was the humanities chair for Providence Classical School. He served as the creative editor for Understanding the Times by David A. Noebel, and co-authored the Understanding the Times curriculum.

Jeff also authored The Deadliest Monster, an introduction to worldviews based on the stories of Frankenstein and Jekyll and Hyde. His articles have appeared in New Attitude, Teachers in Focus, and The Teaching Home.

The schedule for this exciting and interactive weekend is:

  • Friday, July 17: optional visit to the new Creation Museum center, here in the greater Cincinnati area.
  • Friday night, July 17, 7:00pm: welcome by Lasserre Bradley, Jr. and a session by Jeff Baldwin.
  • Saturday, July 18: teaching and discussion with Jeff Baldwin, with lunch provided.
  • Sunday morning, July 19, 10:30am: at CPBC with Lasserre Bradley, Jr. speaking on the need for a Biblical worldview.

Tickets for the weekend are only $10 for individuals, or $30 for families (museum visit not included).

We have secured reduced rates for our guests to visit the Creation Museum on Friday, during the day, which will certainly complement and reflect the weekend’s focus on Christian worldview, for those who are able to participate.
