“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:6).
In our day the call is to esteem yourself, promote yourself, believe in yourself and reward yourself. But God’s Word calls us to humility.
Pride is like a weed that grows up again even after it has been chopped down. But when we see that God hates pride and resists the proud, we see the importance of humbling ourselves under His mighty hand.
