“He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak” (Mark 7:37).
What an accurate observation the multitudes make regarding Jesus! As they see first-hand evidence of his healing power, they are astonished not only by his power, but also by his goodness. Everything he does, he does well; and the only things he chooses to do are good things, like healing and helping people that are sick or deaf or blind.
The fact is that Jesus has always done all things well. When he created the universe in the beginning, he saw that it was good. In his dealings with backsliding Israel, he was longsuffering and merciful. He wields his sovereign power for good, for his own glory and for the benefit of his people. The work he accomplished on the cross was done well, so that not a single one will be lost who believes on him.
Truly, truly he has done all things well.
