The language of John Newton’s famous hymn is out of step with much of the thinking of our day.
It has been said that the term “wretch” is inappropriate and degrading. As this generation has focused on self-esteem; the idea of wretched, lost sinners standing in need of grace has been rejected by many.
But when we embrace the truth of God’s holiness and of man’s falleness we come to appreciate how amazing grace really is. We invite you to listen to today’s message on the amazing grace of God.
