Chick-fil-A and the awe of God

Posted by: Lasserre on July 10, 2008

chick-fil-a.jpgWe are happy that Chick-fil-A, a Christian-owned and operated business, has offered to sponsor Creation Weekend by providing sandwiches for Saturday’s lunch at the Creation Museum.

Owner/operators Doug and Karen Peters, of Chick-fil-A Springdale, have graciously partnered with us to provide this special opportunity for BBH listeners from around the country. Karen, who recently moved to the Cincinnati area with her husband, writes:

We are so pleased to be able to help you out with the Creation Weekend. We have not made it to the museum as of yet and are looking forward to visiting one day soon. Creation is one of the wonders of the Bible that never ceases to amaze; it happens to be a real passion for me personally to study and we have heard many wonderful comments about the museum from friends. We pray that this weekend will stir up “a real passion” in each of you who are able to attend, to better know your Bibles and better know your God. This, we learn from the psalmist David, is the message that we are meant to take from God’s marvelous work in creation:

“Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast” (Psalm 33:8-9).
